Laxmidas Tharia Ved “LAKHOOS” was pioneered in 1904 through the enterprising spirit and forward vision of the Late Mr Tharia Ved, as a small grocery store in Muttrah, Sultanate Of Oman. Over the century, this concept has developed into a family business, and encompasses various segments such as wholesale and retail in textiles and readymade garments, wholesale and retail in precious metals – gold, silver, platinum and palladium, and gold, silver and diamond jewellery, exchange houses, wholesale in foodstuffs, and fashion accessories. The Group ventured into Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in the year 1970, taking advantage of the growth the UAE was witnessing at that time.

The management of LAKHOOS, comprising the descendants of the Late Mr. Tharia Ved, firmly believes that consolidation is the key to success, and have progressed and succeeded based on this belief.
